What gets forgotten is what a brush actually is after a month of use, which is a small sponge holding oil, old makeup and bacteria, and every morning you pick it up you press all of it back into your skin. If you're doing everything else right and still breaking out, this is often the reason.
Cleaning them takes about two minutes. This dissolves built-up makeup, oil and residue from natural and synthetic bristles without drying them out or leaving them splayed, and they're dry and usable again quickly rather than sitting on a towel overnight.
